Sourced from just over half a hectare of 40-year-old vines on east-facing slopes, the Croix Noires sits on deeper, clay-rich soils that lend a distinct character to this tiny parcel. The 2022 is a deeply expressive wine; dark-fruited and sumptuously ripe, with aromas of blackberry, plum, earth, and a whisper of cigar leaf and leather. The texture is dense yet supple, with structure that reveals itself gracefully on the finish. Fermented as whole clusters and aged in older casks, this is a beautifully proportioned Premier Cru with real depth and considerable ageing potential.
