Made with 100% Sangiovese using traditional methods, this Brunello di Montalcino captures the essence of the noble variety. The wine benefits from extensive aging in both barrel and bottle, resulting in exceptional structure and complexity—a true classic.
The wine is produced from carefully selected plots across three distinct areas. Fermentation takes place over 10 days in truncated conical stainless steel and concrete vats at controlled temperatures (maximum 25°C), followed by an additional 15 days of maceration. It then matures for 30 months in 25 and 40-hl Slavonian oak barrels, with an additional 18 months in the bottle.
The 2018 vintage experienced a notably cool and windy climate, with temperatures below average even during summer. This extended maturation period, influenced by significant diurnal temperature variation, allowed the grapes to develop a perfect balance of phenolic concentration. The result is a wine with pronounced fragrance and excellent aging potential.
