"Grand Curoulet" is one of Arbois’s top terroirs. Domaine du Pélican’s estate here spans five hectares, with the majority of the vines over 60 years old. This Savagnin, which is both unoxidized and oak-fermented, reveals flavors of ripe apricot, pear skin, and orange marmalade. One-third of the grapes undergo a one-night skin maceration before pressing, which imparts additional complexity and delightful notes of lychee and earthy spice.
