Domaine de Roure is a vineyard that was acquired by Paul Jaboulet Aîné from the Roure family in 1996. It is one of the oldest estates in the appellation and is located in the commune of Gervans, in the north of Tain l’Hermitage. This estate boasts a beautiful valley that has incredible biodiversity, and Jaboulet has established its second nature preserve here. The Marsanne vines are grown on South-facing slopes in deep soil of white earth and loess. The vines range from 25 to 80 years old. The grapes are carefully handpicked and pressed as whole bunches. After settling, the juice is fermented in concrete eggs and demi-muids. The wine is then left to age on the lees for three months in the same containers.
