Val l'Hermite is made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes grown in a place called Lieu-Dit, which is in the village of Bligny in the Côte des Bar region. The vineyard is south-west facing and the soil is Kimmeridgian. The wine is produced through spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels and then aged in a corked bottle for a minimum of 24 months before disgorging w/o dosage.
