Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of the Rhône Valley’s most iconic producers, best known for Hermitage ‘La Chapelle’, arguably the region’s most famous wine. Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet, the Maison became an important ambassador for Hermitage and the Northern Rhône through successive generations of the Jaboulet family. Acquired by the Frey family in 2006, the estate underwent a significant revival under Caroline Frey, who converted the vineyards to organic and biodynamic farming and helped restore the Maison’s reputation. Today, the estate is led by her sister Delphine Frey, marking a new chapter for the historic house while continuing the work established over the past two decades. In 2021, the Hermitage wines were given a new identity, Domaine de la Chapelle, further highlighting the unique character and heritage of their celebrated hillside vineyards.
