Located 5km from the historical city of Ronda, Cortijo Los Aguilares is an 800 hectare estate, 25 of which are dedicated to vine growing. It was established in 1999 by Jose Antonio and Victoria Itarte, who planted their 19 hectares of vineyards with three red bordeaux varietals and three hectares of Pinot noir. These remarkable Andalucian wines come from vineyards 900 meters above sea level, and are the southernmost vineyards located in Europe. All of the grapes are hand-picked and come exclusively from the estate vineyards.
