Clos Salanca

Clos Salanca was born when David Forer, Toronto born, left his pharma career in San Fransisco to pursue a Master of Wine. He uprooted his family, moving to Barcelona, where he met his now business partner Franck Massard. Together they bought Clos Salanca in the historic Priorat, which has been under vine since the 12th century. The vineyard has been organic for 20+ years and impeccably managed. The oldest vines on the plot were planted in 1915, which is unheard of in Europe. Now six years into the project, they are moving towards regenerative agriculture: an ancient yet modern philosophy, which will regenerate the soil, sequester carbon and improve the microbiology of the land. The wines are nothing short of ethereal, cerebral and hedonistic.
