Big Head Wines

This is the first winery from Andrzej Lipinski and family. Started in 2011 with 3 barrels of Chenin Blanc, the winery grew in reputation, size and breadth to a 20,000 case production and a 42 wine portfolio. The focus is on unique grape varieties, ambient fermentation, and using techniques to push the limit on flavour profile and intensity. Known for appassimento and now whole-cluster techniques, the goal is always unlocking the full potential of the vintage and fruit, while maintaining balance. The RAW line was launched in 2016 and focuses on a pure expression of the fruit, using only ambient fermentation, concrete maturation, and the wines are bottled unfiltered.
