Almost directly south of the classic town of Barbaresco lies the classic rolling hills of Treiso, a land steeped in Piedmont history. The Rizzi estate is one of the largest and most interesting in this region, comprising of 40 hectares in the famous Treiso zone. From elevations between 200m and 430m above sea level, 20 hectares of Nebbiolo produce elegant and sophisticated wines from the Rizzi cru vineyards, Pajore, Nervo, Manzola, Giacone and Bricco di Neive. The additional 20 hectares produce Langhe Nebbiolo, Dolcetto d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba and Moscato d'Asti in the nearby zone of Neviglie.
