Famille Ducourt
The Ducourt family acquired the Chateau des Combes in 1858 and settled in the small hamlet of Hourc in the south east of Bordeaux. Pierre Ducourt, then his children and grand children, all tended to the several hectares of vines that belong to the estate. The generation of Henri Ducourt - the grandfather of the current generation - saw a marked change when he turned the family business into one of Bordeaux's largest winemaking companies, with 450 hectares and 14 chateaus in 6 different appellations. The estate to this day is still very much a family affair. Pride and attention to detail have placed the property among the leaders in the region. The wines have great relatiability, charm and distinction.
