Arizona’s Caduceus Cellars is the project from Maynard James Keenan, lead vocalist of the bands TOOL, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. Not only is Maynard the winemaker and owner with over 110 acres under vine throughout the state, he is also an advocate and leader for the burgeoning Arizona wine industry. Caduceus Cellars & Merkin Vineyards currently has 7 blocks with rich soils of fine river sediment over a bed of calcareous substrate from elevations over 3,000 feet above sea level. Maynard and his team are 100% involved with these wines. From securing the land, planting the vines, overseeing the harvest, crushing the grapes, and finally blending and bottling, not a single step happens without his hands-on involvement.
