Sourced from the Vigneto Alto vineyard which was planted in 1970. The grapes are dried for about two months in drying barn. The wine is then fermented in stainless steel for 15 days. The Amarone TB Vigneto Alto is aged in their best barriques for 36 to 40 months. From those the 11 best barriques are selected and assembled into a 25 HL botte and aged a further 36 months, then aged another 18-24 months in bottle before release.
Fully saturated inky ruby. Superb nuance and lift to the aromas of raspberry, kirsch, violet, licorice pastille and sweet spices. Wonderfully sappy and energetic in the mouth, with outstanding energy and lift to its red and darker fruit, floral and mineral flavors. This powerful wine showcases an exhilarating balance of sweetness and acidity, not to mention noble tannins that provide backbone to the fleshy ripe fruit on the building, violet aftertaste.
