This is the latest vintage of Quadrus, the brainchild of Aris Kaplanis along with Toronto restaurateurs Tony and Mario Amaro. It's historically made from mainly Touriga Nacional along with Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) and the lesser-known Souzão variety, and offers dark cherry, plum, clove, black licorice and pepper, with serious structure. Expect it to impress through 2024 with braised meats.
