Fiorano Bianco
Italy, Other
2015
This review is based on bottle number 148 of only 795 produced. In the U.S. and U.K. markets, the wine name appears as Alberico, not Fiorano. The 2015 Bianco Fiorano (Alberico) is a beautifully rich and sultry expression of Sémillon from vineyards not too far away from Rome's ancient Appia Antica. This is an abundantly medium-bodied white wine with thick layers of stone fruit, preserved lemon, saffron spice and fresh honey. In the mouth, the wine makes a lasting impact thanks to its creamy texture and measured weight. Score - 93+. (Monica Larner, robertparker.com, Aug. 2017)
