Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata
Estate vines in ‘Rocche dell’Annunziata’ sit at 900-990 feet in altitude in the commune of La Morra, facing full south. Each older vine is pruned carefully, to ensure very low yields, approx. 500-700 grams of fruit per plant one of La Morra’s top vineyard sites.
Hand-harvested between end September and early October. Fermented on indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Aged 24 months in older French oak barrels and 20HL “botti,” then eight months in tank, followed by eight months in bottle before release. Unfined and unfiltered.
Aromas of black and red berries, berry compote, red plums, mocha. Ripe and silky with good structure.
