Chardonnay sourced from 7 different terroirs within the Burgundy region of Mercurey. Fermented and aged in a mix of 30% 400 litre Burgundian barrels and 70% stainless steel tanks for 10 months. Bright pale straw to straw colour with a watery hue. Drifting from the glass with plenty of intensity are showy aromas of ripe peach, apricot and honeycomb followed by crème brulee and spicy nougat notes. Rich, creamy textured flavours of peach and apricot meld into notions of bees wax, crème brulee, subtle bacon fat and citrusy nougat characters. Finishes without any heaviness and good freshness on what is a well defined aftertaste.
