This Chablis vineyard was planted in the 12th century by the Cistercian monks from the abbey of Pontigny. The main substrate is Kimmeridgian limestone with tiny fossilized oyster shells which is a reminder that Burgundy once lay beneath a warm ocean. Aromas of citrus, lemon with a lovely linear mineral nose. Rich, round and delicious medium-bodied flavors with a clean, crisp and dry finish.
