Benanti Etna Rosso
About 80% of the Nerello Mascalese matures in stainless steel, while about 20% matures in oak barriques for 8-10 months whereas the Nerello Cappuccio matures exclusively in stainless steel. The wines are then blended, followed by 3 months in the bottle. Lots of red berries and some sweet spices and vanilla from the time spent in barrel. Fine tannins and refreshing bright cherries on the finish.
