The Beaune 1er Cru Sizies takes its name from the property's 18th century owner, Renaud de Sessie. The vineyard encompasses 1.62 hectares, planted on clay-driven soils at the foot of the slope. One third whole cluster, the fruit is matured in 15% new oak. It has a gentle grip in the mouth with notes of tart red cherry, strawberry and a hint of spice.
