Chardonnay crafted from the esteemed ‘Bougros’ vineyard at the western end of Chablis’ grand cru row. The vines, aged 20-40 years, thrive in Kimmeridgian soils rich in white clay and fossilized oyster shells. This unique terroir, with its higher clay and marl content, imparts a broader, more textured mouthfeel to the wine. Hand-harvested and full-cluster pressed, the wine is fermented and aged in French oak barrels (40-50% new). Expect full-bodied richness with aromas of lemon zest, poached white fruits, and white peach, finishing with a touch of pepper and balanced acidity.
