This very special cuvée comes from old vines on the Château des Jacques estate that cover 24 acres. The soil is granitic, fairly shallow and overlies an extremely hard bedrock. After a portion of the grapes are destemmed, the wine is vinified in closed vats with pumping over, to then be matured in oak barrels for 11 months. Considered the region's most 'Burgundian' cru, this can be enjoyed up to 20 years after bottling. You will find notes of fine rose and peony with minerality and elegant tannins.
