Caduceus Cellars & Merkin Vineyards

Arizona's Caduceus Cellars is the project from Maynard James Keenan, lead vocalist of the band Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. Not only is Maynard the winemaker and owner with 110 acres under vine throughout the state, he is also the founder of the Arizona based wine makers Co-Op Four Eight Wineworks and a founding board member of the Arizona Vignerons Alliance. He has been a participating member of the Arizona Winegrowers Association since 2009. Caduceus Cellars currently has five different blocks in Northern Arizona, all five with rich soils of fine river sediment over a bed of calcareous substrate and with elevations exceeding 3000 feet above sea level. Maynard and his team are 100% involved with these wines. From securing the land, planting the vines, overseeing the harvest, crushing the grapes and finally blending and bottling, not a single step happens without his hands-on involvement.
